Portia “Po” Chapman

Sales, Orders, Commissions, Showings, Bookings

Hi, I am Portia “Po” Chapman and I’d like to welcome you to my art page and blog.  You can view the above installation here.  It is entitled “Blossoming Beyond the Box.”

I am a Belleville based, Canadian, award-winning, multi-disciplinary artist with Indigenous ancestry, seeking to become a Visual Art Teacher and Canadian listed artist. I create works of art that celebrate Creation, culture, and community.

As a child from rural Ontario, I grew to be an artist inspired by my family life in the forest along the south shores of Moira Lake near Tweed, Ontario. My metaphorical artworks are hopeful, inspirational pieces that draw inspiration from the organic essence of nature.  I think that even in these uncertain times, we can still experience beauty, joy and healing through the arts.  If there was ever a time to create, now is that time.

If you haven’t noticed, pink is my favourite colour, next to rainbow. There can never be enough pink in my world. Please take your time enjoying my artworks. I would be honoured to sell you one of my finished pieces and/or a commissioned artwork made just for you.

My latest artistic endeavour is creating hand drums for art collections, drum circles and spiritual moments. The circular hand drums range in sizes from 8″-14″ in diameter.

Also, for Spring 2022, I have released 3 special art prints from my personal collection. “Bloodline,” has never before now been viewed. It is a very special screen print of a spontaneous inked-egg rolling. If you are looking for rare one-of-a-kind artwork, this one will be a welcome addition to your art collection.

Please contact me if you have interests in acquiring or commissioning artworks or scheduling a workshop or exhibit.

Thank you for visiting my page, I look forward to hearing from you.

Create a beautiful day,

Kingston, Ontario, Canada
